The time has come! Dnt lessons started and the theme of he project for this year is mechanical toys! Although I only had theory lessons so far, getting to know the basic. I was never bored. We need to do a journal on mechanical toys and I was quck on my fingers. I can't wait to start designing for the toy, it wasn't designing and i finally found some nice samples from the internet. This are the examples:

Finally it is april! I had been waiting for dnt lessons to start and after all this waiting, it is finally coming! I was looking forward to the lessons as, I saw all the other friends had made a wooden toy! There is a small handle for turning and if you turn it, there will be another piece of wood or plastic that goes up and down or even turn in circles! I look forward to the lessons and wish more interesting projects to be done!

Finally, my D&T lessons are kicking back in this year around june or july as, my school had our lessons designed to have half the class to go for home economics while the others go for D&T I was in home economics. Thats too bad but, I get to know a bit information of the D&T class from the other classmates, but thats what makesit so special!

I had a fun time in the home econs class as i loved cooking too especially Mrs lee's ( Mrs lee is my homes economics teacher) recipies (especially her cookies) i always had a good time the

re and it is one of my favourite lessons in my life!

It is an exciting year and i look forward to Mr Soo's D&T lessons!!! Bye bye!!

My First D&T Teacher!!!!!
My very first D&T Teacher was Mr Soo,I started out being afraid of him but after a few lessons, I find him funny but, serious when it comes to work, he is a great teacher that gives second chances as a student, I understand very well that we didn't want to forget about our homework but we just forget! U can't possibly remember something u forget right? It is silly about teachers getting angry about student who is forgetfull, some teachers also didn't liked students leaving blanks on a question, as every student on the earth knows if we didn't understand a question we can't really write anything on it! But some teachers told us to try, if we try we would just write down some silly answers which without doubt would get a big cross at our faces. But this one and only teacher Mr Soo seems to understand our feelings and gives us chances in the end what we do? We hand up our homework(after a long time but still better than nothing)of course! We do well and every one is happy! Well we just have to thank Mr Soo for the chances he gave us. Thank you!!!

I almost fail!

Well, the second work of mine was actually just a LED light bulb that was fixed on a piece of plastic board and a softboard (a type of manufacture board) as th base to hold the structure up and it must attract small kids. I started out by designing a picture or shape of the plastic board, I decided to draw a doremon's face on the plastic bord as its head is round and no sharp edges soit is save not to cut people, it was also a very popular cartoon character, it had a paper surface on the plastic at first so i though it was a very successful project but after cutting, drilling(for the LED light and switch to fit in)and filingmy teacher told us to tear of the piece of paper that my doremon was draw on! After I tear it, it was nothing but a round board with two hold I though it was done for but i have to go on.

My next problem was trying to make the circuit work which i only had two short wires a LED light bulb and a switch that i need to connect. I had troubles at first but i had a friend called Kenneth who help me on one of the joins and teach me how to do it and the second crisis is saved

Thirdly, the switch that was the last part of the whole project was to fix the switch that was vasy small, as i had not much time but just an hour left till the date line to complete the project i was panickind as a very small screw was needed to fix the wires together, i out of anger(as i was stuck on it for almost a week) i break my pen's clipper and use it as a screw and surprisingly it fit and the project was finally done. I was finally out of hell!

My first encounter with D&T was simply just to make a pencil holder, it was my very first piece of work so i took extra care on it. At first, when i get the material of my pencil holder it was simply just a thin piece of metal bar, i was confuse of what we are making later my teacher said it was to make a pensil holder, which is shaped like a S and drill five holes that penetrates the holder except for the base then colour it with postal colours and that is my first piece of work which took me half a year (more or less).
